Went for a hike yesterday and came across this beauty of a Fiat when parking at the trailhead. Lovely day but a tiring one with 11 miles of biking (6 downhill, 5 flat on PCH) followed by a 16 mile hike with a 4500 foot climb.
But man was it worth it! I started all the way at the ocean at around 0800 and finished up there on that distant peak around 1500. From miles 8 through 14 of the hike I saw a grand total of ZERO people so it was a nice solitary adventure.
Oh but more importantly more parking lot photos!
Also included, a nice stock looking red s2k. Seeing as it looks clean and unmodified, I suppose it’s worth more than all three cars next to it combined! Although that clean Fiat sure would fetch some money outside of California I bet. They simply don’t exist in that condition in places with rust.

Man that 124 is TIGHT! I don’t think I have ever seen a yellow one.

Fiat 124 Spider is gorgeous in that yellow color. It looks so clean too! It’s been a hot sec since I’ve seen one that nice.

I have dreams of buying a 124 or an MGB when I live in the rust-free utpoia that is California.
Looks like a beautiful hike too.

When I was living in California, an employer had his 124 painted Ferrari Fly Yellow.
My memories of a friend’s 124 say stay away. Good looking, not so reliable.

If I ever get my Miata painted, it would probably be yellow. Blazing yellow I believe is the color for my year.

That’s stunning.
I’ve done that before too, just leave the camera in a bag and take it all in. That’s best sometimes.
I try not to reach for the camera first, but just take it all in for a few minutes. Then I’ll pull out the camera to share with others.
Occasionally though after taking something in I’ll spend too much time searching for that perfect photo .. .

It’s a very nice color, a pearlescent yellow that just loves being in the sun.

I used to say that the damn OEM rice of full tupperware would never appeal to anyone sound of mind. But then I’ve met miata club owners, enough said. That said, this is the perfect miata color. Wasn’t worth a solid $4k premium though to get one, I think I can get a decent paint job for $4k probably lol. If only I didn’t need an engine...

While the engine is out get the engine bay painted, so it will match when you eventually do the rest of the car. That’s exactly what the owner of the Fiat 124 did while his engine was out.
